At Helping Paws Adoption Program, we're more than just an animal rescue. We're a dedicated team providing specialised care to cleft palate pups and kittens, ensuring they get the best start to life. We care for cleft palate baby puppies and kittens hand raising them, surgically repairing them, desexing them and finding them forever adoption homes.
Our Story: Born from Compassion
Helping Paws Adoption Program began with a simple yet powerful motivation: compassion. As mostly vet staff, we found ourselves unable to ignore the special needs of these vulnerable animals. We are mostly vet staff - we couldn't put to sleep these babies knowing we had the expertise to help them.
A Community of Care
Beyond rescuing animals, Helping Paws fosters a sense of community in Brisbane. Our volunteer program provides an opportunity for individuals to connect with our rescues, creating a mutually beneficial relationship. Many volunteers come to interact with the rescues - we aren't sure who is saving who.
